Thank you for taking an interest in our school. We hope that when you have navigated our website you will want to come and see the school for yourself.
Furze Platt Junior School was opened in 1962 and has always enjoyed a reputation as a happy, friendly and caring community. It is situated in an attractive and tranquil setting surrounded by grassy banks and many trees.
In September 2019, Furze Platt Junior and Infant schools federated to become Furze Platt Primary Federation.
The large campus is also home to Furze Platt Infant and Secondary Schools and most children progress through all three schools to complete each of the Key Stages of their education. The staff and governors of Furze Platt Primary Federation are committed to providing the best possible educational experiences for all of our children, whatever their ability or background. The academic achievement of each child is naturally very important to us but we also recognise the need for the physical, creative, emotional and spiritual development of each individual. We want school to be an exciting and challenging place for our children but equally we want them to feel happy and secure.
It is important to us that parents have every opportunity to be involved in their child’s education. We wish to provide parents with the information they desire about what and how we teach the children and to keep them fully informed of their child’s progress and development.
We will always listen to the children and their parents when there are matters of concern or uncertainty and do everything possible to resolve problems or difficulty.
We are confident that any child attending Furze Platt Junior School will have a happy, productive and fulfilling education.
